About the Role
As an Cyber Security – GRC Consultant at Akita, you will:
- Work within the security team to provide Cyber Security- GRC advice and guidance, heavily focused on compliance standards, frameworks.
- Conduct Cyber Security- GRC assessments against recognised best practice and industry standards, as appropriate to the organisation.
- Support the team in carrying out gap analysis on client systems, to identify current security posture verses current security best practices.
- Act as the first point of escalation for Cyber Security– GRC related incidents within the helpdesk.
- Support in the delivery of “hands-on” Cyber Security solutions within the business.
- Work collaboratively with the Technical and Project teams to monitor and respond to client Cyber Security – GRC incidents/projects and assist with resolution.
- Assist presales team and account managers with Cyber Security – GRC consultancy calls/meetings.
- Fulfil any other such reasonable duties as required in line with business needs.
Core Skills
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
❖ Knowledge of security standards and frameworks. Cyber Essentials, ISO27001 and GDPR.
❖ A solid understanding of information risk, compliance, and governance.
❖ Experience in drafting security policies and procedures.
❖ Knowledge of MS365 Cloud security solutions (InTune, Azure, Defender).
Desirable Skills and Experience
❖ Knowledge in IAM, MFA, MDM and DLP technologies.
❖ Experience working at an MSP in a technical capacity.
Desirable Qualifications
❖ Cyber Essentials Assessor
❖ Certified ISO27001 Lead Implementer and/or Lead Auditor
❖ Security/Cyber Related Degree.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on qualifications, skills and experience
Start Date: ASAP
Contract type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week, Mon – Fri 08:45 – 17:15 hours, with 1hr unpaid lunch break
Location: On-site, Wrotham
Holiday entitlement: 32 days (incl. 8 Bank holidays), rising to 38 days, subject to terms after 3 years’ continuous service
Sick pay: Company sick pay after 6 months continuous employment (terms apply)
